Terms of Service
Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the purchase of copywriting services from Falcon Copywriting, 31 Av. Foch, 95220 Herblay-sur-Seine, France ("Falcon," "we," "us"), whether ordered through this website's checkout or agreed via a custom-scope enquiry.
1. What we sell
Falcon sells fixed-scope copywriting packages (one-off projects) and monthly retainers, across eight service lines: website copywriting, landing page and conversion copy, SEO and blog content, email marketing copy, sales pages/case studies/white papers, brand messaging and content strategy, product and e-commerce copy, and bilingual EN⇄FR transcreation. Each package's price, turnaround, revision count, and scope (what's included and what isn't) is published on its package page before purchase.
2. Placing an order
An order is placed by adding one or more packages to the cart and completing checkout, or by agreeing a custom scope directly with us after a project-brief enquiry. A contract is formed once we confirm your order (by email, following checkout, or in writing following a custom-scope agreement).
3. Price and payment
Prices shown on the site are in euros, exclusive of VAT. French VAT (20%) is added at checkout for French customers and for EU customers without a valid VAT ID. For EU business customers with a valid VAT ID, VAT is reverse-charged (0% shown at checkout, payable by the customer under the reverse-charge mechanism in their own jurisdiction). For customers outside the EU (including the UK and US), no French VAT is applied.
One-off packages are paid in full at the time of order. Monthly retainers are charged the first month at checkout, then automatically each month on the same date until cancelled per §7.
4. The Stoop Method and the working process
Every project runs through five stages — Mark, Mount, Stoop, Foot, Mantle — described in full on How It Works. Client input is required at two points: the Mark-stage brief conversation, and the review round(s) included in the package. Revision rounds are as stated on the package's page; each round covers refinement within the original brief's scope, not a change of scope (see §5).
5. Scope, revisions, and changes
Each package's includes and scope limits are stated on its package page and form part of the agreed scope. Revisions cover editing and refinement of drafted copy against the original brief — they don't cover a change of direction, an added deliverable, or a new brief partway through. A genuine change of scope is quoted separately and, if agreed, added to the order or invoiced as an addition.
6. Delivery and turnaround
Turnaround times stated on each package are working-day estimates (Monday–Friday, excluding French public holidays) measured from the completed Mark-stage brief conversation, not from the order date — a delayed brief conversation shifts the delivery date accordingly. We'll tell you promptly if a genuine delay arises on our side.
7. Retainers and cancellation
Monthly retainers renew automatically each month until cancelled. Cancel any time by emailing support@falconcopywriting.com with 30 days' notice; the retainer continues, and is billed, through the notice period, and does not renew after it ends. The current month at the time of cancellation is not refunded. Full cancellation and refund terms for one-off packages are on our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Intellectual property
Copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the copy we deliver transfer to you, the client, in full, on receipt of final payment. Before final payment, drafts remain the intellectual property of Falcon Copywriting and may not be published or used commercially. Falcon retains the right to describe the nature of completed work (e.g. "wrote website copy for an e-commerce brand") for its own portfolio and marketing purposes, without disclosing confidential content, unless you request otherwise in writing.
9. Confidentiality
We treat your brief, business information, and unpublished drafts as confidential, and we don't share them outside the studio except with the specific editor working your bilingual project. If you require a signed non-disclosure agreement before sharing sensitive information, tell us during the Mark stage and we'll arrange one.
10. Liability
Falcon Copywriting delivers copywriting and editorial services and is not responsible for downstream business outcomes (sales, rankings, conversion rates) that depend on factors outside our control — design, technical implementation, media spend, market conditions, and so on. Our liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the amount paid for that specific package. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Withdrawal right (consumers)
If you're a consumer (acting outside a trade, business, or profession) based in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of your order, under French consumer law (Code de la consommation, Art. L221-18). If you want work to start before that 14-day period ends, you must give us express, explicit consent to begin immediately and acknowledge that you'll lose your withdrawal right once the service is fully performed. Full detail, including what happens if you withdraw after work has already started, is on our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. For business customers (B2B), any dispute not resolved amicably is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tribunal de commerce de Pontoise. For consumer customers (B2C), the protections of your own country of residence's consumer law apply in addition to these Terms where mandatory, and you retain the right to bring a claim before the courts of your own jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Changes don't apply retroactively to an order already confirmed under a previous version.
